Aadland-Moody Vineyards

Aadland-Moody Vineyards was born from resilience, possibility, and an extraordinary sense of place.

In 2022, Drs. Kristine Aadland and Justin Moody discovered a remarkable property high on Spring Mountain. The Glass Fire had claimed the winery and estate structures, yet the mature Cabernet Sauvignon vines endured. Winding along the mountain’s narrow roads, surrounded by forest, vineyards, and sweeping Napa Valley views, they recognized something exceptional—a place with history, character, and the promise of what could come next.

Today, the estate is home to eight acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and one acre of Cabernet Franc. Beyond the estate, Aadland-Moody Vineyards works with thoughtfully selected mountain vineyards throughout Napa Valley, exploring how elevation, exposure, soils, and microclimates shape the structure, character, and expression of Cabernet grown at altitude. At its heart, Aadland-Moody Vineyards is the intersection of a shared passion for wine, craftsmanship, and connection. Every bottle is created with respect for the vineyard and an unwavering commitment to quality—because the finest wines do more than reflect where they are grown.

Join us for the Terroir Uncorked Experience where our guests will discover why Cabernet Sauvignon grown only a few miles apart taste dramatically different? Terroir Uncorked takes guests beyond a traditional tasting and into the vineyard, cellar, and sensory decisions that shape every bottle. The experience begins with a guided walk through the winery and production space. Guests taste young Cabernet directly from the barrel and compare selected oak programs, discovering how barrel origin and treatment influence aroma, texture, structure, and finish. The journey then moves to a comparative tasting of Cabernet Sauvignon from distinct Napa Valley sites. Through side-by-side tasting, guests explore how elevation, soil, sun exposure, climate, and site selection create noticeably different expressions of the same varietal. The experience concludes with a stemware demonstration that reveals one of wine’s most surprising lessons: the same Cabernet can present differently depending on the shape of the glass. Guests leave with a deeper understanding of terroir, winemaking, and how to taste wine with greater confidence and curiosity.
